Dancer portraits

These are photos from a recent photoshoot at "Ekfrasi Dance School".

The school was established in 1996 and specializes -but is not limited to- Latin type dance (of which, we shall see more in the near future). It is a very warm and cozy place, while also being very practical as a shooting location.

More important, the people at the school are not only talented and hard working, but also very friendly and enthusiastic; which only makes the photographer's work all the more comfortable. There is even an extensive and beautiful wardrobe available, with most of the costumes handmade courtesy of the school's headmaster Elena Lizardou

Many thanks to the dancers/teachers Elena Lizardou, Maria Karakosta and Maria Mela for the great time and results; looking forward to more in the following weeks!

Here is a glimpse of a style I'm going to post more in the future. It's one-exposure "multiple exposures" using flash; quite appropriate for action and movement

All shots with the Fuji X-E2 and 35mm f/1.4 and 14mm f/2.8 lenses, plus a bunch of speedlites, spot grids, beauty dishes, etc.
